MATCH REPORTS 2025/26
On Saturday, 11 April, HWBC was invited by Hazlemere BC to take part in the first ever Bushby Trophy. This is a 4-team tournament and also included Flackwell Heath BC and Bassetsbury BC. Each team has a ladies and gentlemen side of three players. Each team played the other three teams. At the end of the day, the scores from both teams were added together. 2 points for a WIN, 1 for a DRAW an 0 for a LOSS. Our combined score was 8 points, placing us in second place behind Hazlemere.
An enjoyable day was had by all. Although the weather didn’t help much, it was sunny but very windy and cold. On the third game of the afternoon, we had to contend with a hailstorm for a few minutes. Our hosts supplied plenty of free tea and coffee with biscuits and a free raffle.
